Weekly Hot Boy.

With all the crazy stuff that's been going on I haven't had time to add much stuff to my blog, but I thought I would at least put another picture up and I know I've already had Robert Pattinson, but he's just sooo darn cute and I'm totally in lust, so here's another one :) Thanks to the ladies at the Robert Pattinson Life blog...I was rather naughty and stole it for my own...I'd be totally happy to receive some sort of punishment...perhaps if they sent a certain hot boy round to spank me???? lol.

Anyway I hope you had a lovely Christmas, ours was very quiet and just surreal, I kept on expecting to see Poppa. But sadly I didn't. The funeral was on Monday and as sad as it was it was great - not so much a funeral (or a mourning of someones passing), but a celebration of Poppa's life. When I get a chance, I'll have to put the pictures from Poppa's book on here, they are just brilliant. He was such a fantastic photographer, so talented - he didn't have the luxury of digital photography and it doesn't matter because, boy, did he know how to take a photo. I'd be happy to be as half as talented as what he was.

Anyway, I'm going to post this and think about getting to bed - it's nearly 2:30 and I should be asleep. Sweet dreams and enjoy your day when it arrives :)

Stop all the clocks...

It's been a very crazy weekend, I came down to Adelaide on Saturday to spend some time with Poppa and help with taking care of him, he looked so different from the two weeks previous that I'd seen him, so skinny!! But it was great to be able to see him again and spend time with him as Poppa died on Monday morning. He'd been unconcious since Friday afternoon and he didn't really wake up again, so I'm glad the last time I saw him I got to have a good chat with him. Beyond sad is how I'm feeling, so I'm not going to write much more, still processing I guess, it's not really real at the moment, I guess it will be when we have the funeral. Anyway, don't really feel like writing more so I'll sign off.

Who's excited? ME!!

I'm a rather excited library chick tonight, I finally after waiting and waiting ever so patiently get to see Twilight tonight. *Insert happy dance here*
Here's a little picture of the poster, just because I can...
I've heard many good things and some bad too, but I've decided not to pay much attention. What I've seen so far I've liked, but I'll grace mah blog with a right proper review tomorrow. Once again I've been banished to the boonies, should be fun, I think it's the kids last day so it'll be all quiet. Anyway enjoy the rest of your evening, I know I'm going to...Hell's Yeah!! :)

Updates 'n stuff

Well, things aren't much better at the moment, Sloppy's eye is still broken, she has her 3rd eyelid shut at the moment, with another 8 or so days with it closed. She got out on Thursday, had a day of freedom and then got reconed on Friday. Drama Drama!! Apart fro being well sick of being stuck inside, she's doing okay and she still brings me no end of amusment with her cone shenanigans. Makes me laugh.

Poppa is still chugging along, I think the steroids are starting to work less, as he's very sllepy again and he's stopped eating again. Tushka is doing an amazing job, Momo has moved in with her as well to help and I'll be heading down for Christmas to help out. Like I said DRAMA.

I've decided to pull out (haha-what I can be juvenile), of my summer subject, I just can't be bothered trying to organise school when I've got family stuff to do. So it'll be a slightly less stressful summer.

Anyway, I don't have much more to add, I thought I'd put my two cents in, especially since I hadn't written for yonkers. I am doing two posts today, I've decided to have a 'weekly hot boy' post...so onward and upward peeps :)

Sad things Mikey, sad things...

Okay, crazy times at the moment. It's a shit storm at home I tell ya. Last week I discovered that Sloppy had an ulcer on her left eye, first off the vet gave me ointment and antibiotics, that didn't help much, when I took her back for her check up, it had started to go necrotic - translation, she had a black spot on her eye that was stopping it from healing. So I took her in the next day and they did a proceure where they try to scrape the dead bits off and then sew the 3rd eyelid over the ulcer, then sew the whole eye shut and leave it for two weeks, with hopefully good results.

So now she had two weeks of wearing a cone and having to stay inside the house. She's already showed me how she feels about this by making me bleed this morning, pretty little petal that she is. I feel terrible for her, she doesn't seem to be in a lot of pain and the drugs I give her each morning is supposed to help with that, but fingers crossed it works, because if it doesn't, the next step is to see a specialist - which will cost $1000 at least. On the plus side her antics in getting used to the cone are making me laugh, she's very cute trying to navigate with it.

While this was happening, I had to go to Adelaide for the weekend as my Poppa, who we thought had Alzheimer's, actually has a brain tumor. To be more precise he has a Glioblastoma Multiforme, which is 4cm by 6cm and is inoperable. It is the most common and most aggressive type of primary brain tumor, accounting for 52% of all primary brain tumor cases and 20% of all intracranial tumors. It has knocked us all for six, on the weekend we though the prognosis, while terminal was pretty good, 6 months to 2 years, but we found out yesterday, he may have as little as two weeks, something I'm still not fully comprehending. Hence I think, the reason I'm here at 1 am in the morning, rather than at home, eating my dinner :)

It was amazing to see the difference in him Saturday, which was the first full day after the initial steroid was administered. The swelling had gone down, allowing him to eat a little and to communicate, answering our questions coherently and actually adding to what we were saying. Sunday was even betterm with him feeding himself and drinking tea by himself, which was such a joy to see, especially after seeing him lying there, not doing anything. It so sad, he's our last grandparent left and he's so great, the best Poppa you could ask for. He's always been hands on with us and some of my fondest memories of Poppa is watching him when he was working, (he was a photographer) and us kids dressing him up and putting make up on him at Christmas time - the guy has some seriously wicked eyebrows, which you could do some great things with, lol.

I'm just really sad he'll be gone soon and that his great grand children won't get a chance to know him, because he's just brilliant. He certainly began my love afair with the 'Classics', as he's a huge Charles Dickens fan, and so it became a bit of a tradition each time I visited to read some Dickens. Anyway, I'm wallowing and I still have to do some stuff, which will involve me talking to actual people so I'm going to stop here before I make myself cry. My little vent is over (for now).

Friday night's alright for fighting

It's that time again peoples, the weekend! Although, I don't get to experience it in it's full glory as I have to work this weekend. But that's not stopping me - I'm looking forward to kickin' ass tonight at Trivia, we've reformed Jenny's Friends and we've entered into an intense trivia training program...who am I kidding!! So far our training has consisted of me playing 'Eye of the Tiger' and thrusting the trivia book up in the air in time with the beat, with a few questions peppered in there for good measure. But hey, we haven't trained so far and we've either won or come second each time so why mess with the formula.

Plus, on the teeve tonight is a most excellent movie 'Shark Swarm', it's about a town that is terrorised by crazed killer sharks after they are poisoned by toxic waste (or there abouts). Sounds like an excellent serve of 'C'-Grade crappola if you ask moi and I can't wait...VERY cited I am.

I'd love to say I'll be having a leisurely weekend, but sadly if I'm not working, I'll be doing schoolwork, I'm still not entirely convinced a summer class was a good idea. I've got a lot of reading to do on a subject I'm not terribly interested in - Library Management, don't get me wrong, it's interesting in small doses, but I've already done 2 management classes and I'm totally happy being a pleb. I want more fun subjects, too bad I only have 2 library electives left to do, but I guess then I have my non library majors to do...argh, now I'm giving myself a headache. I just have to keep telling myself 2 more years and I'm done.

Okay, now I've had my little meltdown/rant, I'm off to do some more work, enjoy your weekend, whatever your doing have fun! No doubt I'll be posting over the weekend, what else am I gonna do????
